Gunung Gading Nation Park
Established in 1983, covering an area of 4,104 hectares, located in the Lundu district southwest of Sarawak. Gunung Gading National Park is located close to the small fishing port of Lundu, about 1½ hours from Kuching. It is home to the world largest flower, the Rafflesia, which can grow up to one meter in diameter. The Rafflesia has no specific season, taking nine months to mature and flowering for only 7 days before dying. The park also offers a number of attractive walking trails, leading through primary rainforest to beautiful jungle waterfalls. Visitors can check with us in advance to confirm whether a flower is blooming.
